General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Scope

  1. These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all orders placed through Catson's online shop.

  2. By placing an order, the customer accepts these Terms and Conditions in the version valid at the time of the order.

  3. Different conditions apply only if Catson has expressly agreed to them in writing.

3. Offer and Product Presentation

  1. The presentation of products in the online shop is non-binding and does not constitute a legally binding offer.

  2. Product images, colors, dimensions, and technical details may vary slightly depending on screen display, batch, or manufacturer information.

  3. Errors, printing mistakes, technical errors, and price changes are reserved.

4. Conclusion of Contract

  1. By submitting the order via the "place order with obligation to pay" button, the customer makes a binding offer.

  2. An automatically sent order confirmation only acknowledges receipt of the order and does not constitute acceptance.

  3. The purchase contract is concluded as soon as Catson explicitly confirms the order by email or ships the goods.

  4. Catson reserves the right to reject orders without giving reasons (e.g., in case of obvious errors, availability issues, or suspicion of misuse).

5. Prices and Shipping Costs

  1. All prices are quoted in Swiss Francs (CHF).

  2. The prices listed on the product page are binding.

  3. Shipping costs are shown separately and transparently at checkout.

  4. The price at the time of order applies.

6. Payment terms

  1. Payment is generally made in advance.

  2. The payment methods displayed at checkout apply. Catson may exclude payment methods in individual cases.

  3. For prepayment, the invoice amount must be paid within 7 calendar days. If payment is not received, Catson may cancel the order.

  4. For card payment/online payment, the charge is made according to the conditions of the respective payment service provider.

  5. Catson does not store complete credit card data.

7. Delivery, delivery time, and shipping

  1. Catson normally delivers within Switzerland and to Liechtenstein, unless otherwise stated in the shop.

  2. Specified delivery times are approximate.

  3. In case of unforeseeable delays (e.g., supply shortages, transport problems, force majeure), the delivery time may be extended.

  4. Partial deliveries are permitted if they are reasonable for the customer.

  5. If delivery is permanently not possible, any payment already made will be refunded.

8. Return and voluntary right of return

8.1 Return for the rest of the range (14 days)

  1. For all products except Catson PureFlow drinking fountains, Catson grants a voluntary right of return of 14 days from receipt of the goods.

  2. Requirement for the return:

    • unused

    • complete

    • clean

    • in original packaging or in returnable condition

  3. Opened or used hygiene and consumable items (e.g., opened filters, food, care products) are excluded from the right of return unless there is a defect.

8.2 Catson PureFlow trial drinking (30 days)

  1. For Catson PureFlow drinking fountains, Catson grants a voluntary trial drinking period of 30 days from receipt of the goods.

  2. The product may be tested in everyday use.

  3. Requirement for a return:

    • timely registration

    • cleaned condition

    • complete delivery contents

    • functional condition

  4. Consumables (especially filters) are excluded from returns if opened or used.

  5. In cases of excessive wear, damage, or missing parts, Catson may make a reasonable deduction from the refund.

  6. The trial drinking applies only once per household, unless Catson confirms otherwise in individual cases.

8.3 Return process and costs

  1. Returns must be registered in advance by email to info@catson-swiss.com to register (with order number).

  2. The customer bears the return shipping costs, except in cases of incorrect delivery or confirmed defects.

  3. Refunds are made after receipt and inspection of the return to the originally used payment method, usually within 14 days.

9. Retention of Title

The goods remain the property of Catson until full payment is made.

10. Warranty

  1. The mandatory statutory warranty rights under Swiss law apply.

  2. Obvious defects or incorrect deliveries must be reported to Catson as soon as possible after receipt.

  3. Damages caused by improper use, lack of cleaning/maintenance, normal wear and tear, or improper use are excluded from the warranty.

  4. As far as permitted, Catson decides on repair, replacement delivery, or refund in case of justified defects.

11. Voluntary Warranty (Catson Care)

  1. If a voluntary warranty is explicitly mentioned on the respective product page, the warranty conditions communicated there apply additionally.

  2. The voluntary warranty applies in addition to the statutory warranty rights and does not restrict them.

12. Liability

  1. Catson is fully liable in cases of intent and gross negligence.

  2. In cases of slight negligence, Catson is only liable for the breach of essential contractual obligations and only for typically foreseeable damage.

  3. Liability for indirect damages, consequential damages, or lost profits is excluded – as far as legally permissible.

  4. Mandatory statutory liability provisions remain reserved.

13. Notes on Animal Products

  1. The use of the products is at the sole responsibility of the owner.

  2. Catson products do not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment.

  3. In case of health abnormalities of the animal, a veterinarian should be consulted.

14. Data Protection

The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the applicable privacy policy of Catson on the website.

15. Intellectual Property Rights

All content in the online shop (texts, images, logos, designs, product descriptions) is protected by copyright and trademark law and may not be used without prior written consent from Catson.

16. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

  1. Only substantive Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Sales Convention (CISG).

  2. The place of jurisdiction is – as far as legally permissible – the registered office of Catson in Switzerland.

17. Final Provisions

  1. If any provisions of these terms and conditions are or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

  2. Catson may adjust these terms and conditions at any time. The version published at the time of the order is binding.
