The battery is not charging properly

If the battery does not charge as expected, the cause can often be narrowed down with a few troubleshooting steps. It is often due to the power source, charging accessories, or charging port.

With the following points, you can quickly check the most common causes.

Possible causes and troubleshooting steps:

1) Check charging cable and connection

If possible, use the supplied charging cable and ensure the plug is correctly and firmly seated.

Make sure that:

  • the cable is fully plugged in

  • the connection is not loose

  • the cable shows no visible damage

A plug that is not properly seated can affect or interrupt the charging process.

2) Test another socket

Also check the charging process at a different socket to rule out the power source as the cause.

This way you can quickly determine if the problem might be with the socket or an unstable power supply.

3) Check the power adapter

Use a suitable power adapter with the appropriate power supply according to your model's specifications.

A too weak or unsuitable adapter can cause:

  • the battery charges only slowly

  • the battery does not fully charge

  • the charging process starts unreliably

4) Check the charging port

Make sure the charging port is clean and dry.

Dust, moisture, or residues can affect the contact and disrupt the charging process.

Therefore, check:

  • whether the connection is clean

  • whether there is no moisture present

  • whether the plug can be inserted correctly without resistance

5) Allow sufficient charging time

Leave the fountain connected to power for several hours so the battery can fully charge.

Depending on the battery level and model, the charging process can take different amounts of time. A short test of a few minutes is often not enough to reliably assess the charging function.
