The pump is not running – what can I do?

If the pump does not run, the cause can usually be quickly narrowed down with a few checks. It is often due to the water level, power supply, dirt, or the seating of the pump.

With the following points, you can systematically check the most common causes.

Possible causes and check steps:

1) Check power supply

Make sure the well is properly powered and the battery is sufficiently charged.

Check especially:

• whether the battery is sufficiently charged

• whether the well is correctly switched on

• whether the charging cable and connection are properly seated (when charging)

Tip: If possible, test the well again after a full charge to rule out a low battery level as the cause.

2) Check water level

The pump must be completely covered with water. A too low water level is a common cause of the pump not starting or not pumping correctly.

Make sure that:

• enough water is filled

• the water level does not fall below the recommended mark

• the pump is completely submerged in water

3) Clean the pump

Deposits, hair, or dirt can impair the function of the pump.

For cleaning:

• Remove the pump

• Open the pump cover

• Carefully remove the propeller (impeller)

• Clean all parts thoroughly with water

• Remove residues and hair completely

A dirty pump is one of the most common causes of no or weak water delivery.

4) Install the pump correctly

After cleaning or during setup, check if the pump sits firmly and straight in the intended holder.

It is important that:

• the pump is not loose

• it is properly aligned

• the connection or water outlet is cleanly connected

An incorrectly installed pump can cause the well not to start or the water flow to be disturbed.

5) Restart the well

Turn off the well, wait briefly, and then restart it.

A restart can help if:

• the well does not start immediately after cleaning

• a setting was not correctly applied

• the control needs to be briefly reset
