Can I make a mistake during assembly?
The setup is deliberately kept simple. In most cases, the drinking fountain works without problems if some basic points are observed.
Small deviations during setup can lead to impaired water flow, the fountain running louder, or not starting as intended. The most common points are summarized here.
Typical points to consider during setup:
Filter not prepared
If the filter is not properly prepared before first use (e.g., not soaked), the water flow may be impaired. In some cases, this can also lead to unstable operation.
Important: Prepare the filter according to the instructions before first use.
Pump not correctly installed
If the pump is not firmly seated in the intended holder or is installed crookedly, it can become louder or fail to pump water.
Make sure that the pump:
- securely seated
- aligned straight
- correctly positioned in the holder
Water level too low
The pump must always be completely covered with water. A water level that is too low can cause the fountain to not run properly or produce unusual noises.
Important: Regularly check the recommended water level.
Parts not flush mounted
If the cover or water outlet is not properly seated, the water flow can be disturbed. Also, a component that is not properly installed can affect the function.
Check before starting:
- Are all parts correctly in place?
- Is the cover sitting cleanly?
- Is the water outlet properly installed?
Good to know:
All steps are model-dependent and explained in the respective user manual. If you are unsure, a look at the manual or a quick inquiry to our support will help.
Catson note:
In most cases, a startup problem can be quickly resolved by briefly checking the filter, pump, water level, and the seating of the components again. A clean setup is the foundation for quiet and reliable operation.
