What happens if I am not at home during delivery?

If you are not present at the delivery, your package is usually not sent back immediately. Depending on the shipping service provider and delivery situation, there are usually several ways the delivery can still be completed.

What usually happens:

1) Redelivery attempt or drop-off

Often the shipping service provider will make a further delivery attempt or leave the package at a suitable drop-off location (if possible).

Which option is used depends, among other things, on:

• Shipping service provider
• Delivery region
• Delivery situation on site
• Stored delivery options

2) Be left with neighbors or at a pickup point

Depending on the delivery person, the package can alternatively:

• Delivered to a neighbor
• Left at a parcel shop / pickup station

You will usually find the relevant information:

• In the tracking
• On a notification from the delivery person
• If applicable, via email or SMS from the shipping service provider

3) Observe the pickup deadline

If a package has been left at a pickup point, there is usually a specific pickup deadline.

If the package is not picked up within this period, it can be automatically returned to us.

If the package has been returned:

As soon as an uncollected package is returned to us and has arrived, we will review the process and take care of the next steps.

If you are unsure whether your package has already been returned, please contact Catson Support with your order number and tracking number.

What you can do:

• Check tracking regularly
• Pay attention to notifications from the delivery person
• If necessary, briefly ask neighbors
• Observe the pickup deadline at the parcel shop / pickup station

This can often prevent the shipment from being returned to us.

If you missed a delivery, in most cases it is not a problem. First, check your tracking and any notifications from the delivery person. There you will usually find the next step (redelivery, drop-off, or pickup).
