How do I know when the filter needs to be changed?

There are several signs that can indicate that a filter change is sensible or necessary. A timely change helps to maintain water quality and operate the drinking fountain reliably and evenly.

Even if the filter still looks inconspicuous externally, it should be regularly replaced according to the recommended replacement interval.

Typical signs of a necessary filter change:

1) The water flow becomes weaker

If the water flow noticeably decreases, a dirty or saturated filter can impair the flow.

A weaker water flow can indicate that:

• the filter is heavily loaded

• residues have accumulated in the filter material

• the flow is no longer optimal

2) The water smells faster than usual

If the water develops an unpleasant smell faster than usual, this can be an indication that the filter no longer sufficiently fulfills its function.

A fresh filter supports:

• a better water quality

• a more pleasant smell

• a more hygienic use in everyday life

3) The well sounds louder than usual

A dirty filter can affect the water flow and thereby indirectly also change the running behavior of the well. In some cases, the well then sounds louder or runs less smoothly.

Important: Pump, water level, and dirt can also cause noises. Check these points additionally if needed.

4) The filter is visibly discolored or heavily soiled

If the filter is clearly discolored or shows visible deposits, it should be replaced.

Visible dirt is a clear sign that the filter has already been heavily used.

Change even without visible signs:

Even if no clear signs appear yet, the filter should be proactively changed at the latest after the recommended period.

A regular filter change helps with:

• to support the water flow

• to operate the well hygienically

• to avoid unnecessary strain on the pump
